41. Anat Vidor

100 Women of Influence

With her flair for fashion and fast expressive speech, Israeli born and raised Anat exploded into our lives as Executive Director of WIZO NSW. With a few University degrees and an abundance of knowledge about her homeland, she set out to expand the potential for fundraising and to raise the level of awareness of WIZO’s work.

Her passion and enthusiasm combined with her Israeli chutzpah ensured WIZO’s reach was truly widened. The Annual Gala Event became one of the community highlights due to the very current, topical and influential guest speakers she creatively sought. Speakers such as Mosab Hassan Yousef – known as ‘Son of Hamas’, and Avi Issacharoff, creator of TV sensation Fauda.

After 8 years as Executive Director she became President of WIZO NSW in 2016. In this role she enthused, inspired and strengthened the commitment of the membership. Anat lived and breathed WIZO and nothing was too difficult or uncomfortable when it meant achieving what was needed to support the projects in our care.

The very successful Sponsor a Child in Israel Campaign was given new life by Anat, and the opening of Makom Balev, a safe haven for girls on the streets in Beer Sheva, was achieved due to her dogged determination and ability to see that the need was met.

Anat has now returned to Israel to live but remains connected to WIZO where she is taking on new initiatives. This blonde bombshell will always be a true WIZO woman.
