International Women's Day 2025 – The March Forward: Trailblazers, Trendsetters and Champions
- Sun, 9 Mar, 10am - 12:30pm
Join trailblazers Mia Freedman (Mamamia), Shari Markson (Sky News Australia), Ronni Kahn AO (OzHarvest), and Emanuel Synagogue’s Rabbi Jacqueline Ninio OAM to celebrate our march forward this International Women’s Day 2025.
On Sunday 9 March, this lineup of extraordinary women who have broken down barriers and reshaped industries will paint a picture of the future they envision for the generations of women and girls that will follow, each from their unique perspectives as pioneers in their chosen fields.
Following the conversation and Q&A, expertly guided by Michaela Kalowski, you will be invited to connect with our special guests and other attendees over a beautiful morning tea lovingly prepared by Nora’s Kitchen.

Yoga & Healing for Carmel
- Fri, 16 May, 9:30am - 11:30am
Join WIZO Lev Echad on 16 May (9:30–11:30am) for a special yoga and healing event in memory of Carmel Gat, on what would have been her 41st birthday.
Carmel was a source of strength and comfort to those around her, even in the darkest of times. While held hostage in Gaza, she led yoga and meditation sessions, offering relief to fellow captives, including Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Ori Danino. Tragically, her body was later found alongside theirs.
Location: Eastern Suburbs Venue
Tickets: $41 – All proceeds support WIZO Makom Balev, an emergency housing and treatment centre for young women at risk in Be’er Sheva.
Yoga with Tal Rafel Healing with Micaela Ezra
Let’s honour Carmel’s legacy of resilience and healing by coming together in the practice she loved.
