100 Women of Influence

Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg, has inspired a generation with her best-selling books, ‘Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead’ & ‘Option B: Facing Resilience, Facing Adversity and Finding Joy’.

Sandberg lost her husband tragically in 2014 and she uses both her personal and professional experiences to help others. Before becoming the first woman to serve on Facebook’s board, Sandberg held prestigious posts at Google and in the US government. Her empathetic, practical resources for dealing with grief, challenges and career aspirations help millions around the world, every day.

Sandberg gifted Israeli President Reuven Rivlin with a signed copy of Option B on her recent trip to the Jewish state, telling her Facebook followers “I admire him for standing up for diversity and kindness across the country.’
