1. Gal Gadot

100 Women of Influence

Gal is the Israeli girl turned Hollywood star who’s inspiring young Jewish girls everywhere.

Born in 1985 in Rosh HaAyin, Gal’s life changed when she entered the Miss Israel competition and won at the age of 18.

After serving in the IDF, she studied Law before pursuing acting opportunities. Fast & Furious (2009) was her first film role before being eventually tapped to play the DC Comics superhero Wonder Woman.

We love this quote from Gal:

“I definitely have a strong sense of my Jewish and Israeli identity. I did my two-year military service; I was brought up in a very Jewish, Israeli family environment, so of course my heritage is very important to me.”
