The eyes see and cannot believe. A children’s soccer game on Saturday turned into a massacre. We have seen a lot of terrible things in the past year, but the murder of children – you just can’t get used to it.
Do not look for justice in The Hague, justice does not interest the Lebanese judge, nor the South African prosecutor, nor the Irish and Spanish prosecutors. Do not expect protest marches in European capitals for the massacre of these children, you will not see the slogans “Lebanon is Murdering”, “Destroy Lebanon”. Do not expect resolutions condemning Lebanon at the UN – tomorrow they will forget everything, and return to condemning Israel.
The children of Majdal Shams are of no interest to the hypocritical world, just because they are from this side of the border. Only we will take care of ourselves, and “justice” is just an asterisk.
