Turning Hate into Hope

chanukah

Take the word HATE and replace the letters A (Anti Semitism)

and T (Terrorism ) with the letters O (0ptimism) and P (Peace ).

The word HATE is transformed into the word HOPE !

When the Arab/Muslim world unites NOT out of their HATE for the existence

of the Jewish State through global Anti Semitism and Terrorism and

instead look to the future with Optimism and a desire for Peace by joining

the Abraham Accords, then the HATE will become the HOPE for the future.

Throughout history we have witnessed evil empires collapse and societies

change dramatically in a generation. What seems impossible is always

possible with faith ,a positive mindset and bold leadership.

The Jewish People have survived any HATE in the past because of our

HOPE for the future.

Just like in the Chanukah story, we see today the fight for our unique

identity, the bravery of Jewish soldiers against a brutal enemy and the

courage of Jewish heroines.

The miracle of discovering a single cruise of holy olive oil to light the Temple

Menorah shows that even in hateful times you can find a ray of hope.

The optimism shown by the Maccabees in lighting a one day supply of

oil ,motivated G-d to bring forth the eight day miracle of the oil . This

allowed exactly the time required to bring to Jerusalem a constant supply of

olive oil to light the Menorah to enable the rededication of the Temple

services. The Maccabees victory against the Syrian – Greeks ,gave peace

and Jewish Independence to the Land of Israel for the first time in 405 years.

May the mitzvah of kindling the Chanukah lights help dispel the darkness of

hate and may the illumination of the Chanukah lights increase each night

bringing the hope of a brighter future for Israel and the Jewish People.

Chanukah Sameach

Jacki Gluck.
