Chanukah – The Festival of Lights

It’s not ok that Jews feel a sense of insecurity
and need to hide their true identity.
We are an ancient people who deserves to be respected
A precious minority that should be protected.
Our enemies are driven by jealousy and hate
But they will never defeat the Jewish People or the only Jewish State.
We pray for peace, we don’t want war,
Israel defends its citizens, so that peace will endure.
They have fought the proxies of Iran, this evil regime
And will continue to pursue their ultimate dream.
A nation forged by resilience and a strong will to survive
Has kept all of our hopes alive.
And a belief in the One above
With His supernatural powers and His everlasting love.
He delivered the many into the hands of the few
The wicked into the hands of the righteous too
The Chanukah story of the Maccabees victory
Is like the miracles we are witnessing now in our history
After the destruction of the 2nd Temple in 70CE
The Chanukah Menorah is lit at home with our family
Sing Maoz Tzur and celebrate for eight nights
And see the darkness dispelled by the Chanukah Lights.
