The Australian Ambassador to Israel, Paul Griffiths, was WIZO’s guest for an inspiring and moving visit to WIZO Ahuzat Yeladim in Haifa.
Accompanied by World WIZO President Esther Mor and former president of WIZO New South Wales Diane Symonds, Ambassador Griffiths got an in-depth briefing from director Yossi Saragosi on the amazing work done with the youth by Ahuzat Yeladim’s staff, and about the critical role and contribution of WIZO Australia, over decades, in the development of the institution.
Ambassador Griffiths also met with Ahuzat Yeladim students, which reminded him how much he missed his own children, who live in Australia. As you can see in the photos, he was a big “hit” with the kids.
“It was moving beyond words to meet the students of Ahuzat Yeladim,” said Ambassador Griffiths. “It was thrilling to hear their stories and the impact the school is having on their young lives. It was equally wonderful to meet Yossi and his dedicated staff. I can’t thank enough the donors who generously support the school and bring this remarkable community together to make a difference.”
