We sadly say goodbye to Yossi Saragossi – Director of WIZO Ahuzat Yeladim for the past 18 years, as he enters the next chapter of his life – Retirement.    Please see the message below from Anita Friedman, Chairperson World WIZO and the attached photographs. Yossi was recently honoured a Lifetime Achievement Award from World WIZO, for which I sent a congratulatory message on behalf of WIZO Australia, thanking him on our behalf for his many years of dedication and support – to view see below.

Michelle – President – WIZO Australia

WIZO is a collection of people, and a collection of institutions.

Sometimes in the midst of everything, a person becomes an institution.  His life’s work turned his name into a parallel and an inseparable name from the institution he manages.

This is Yossi Saragossi, who at the age of 24 tied his professional destiny to WIZO Ahuzat Yeladim.

After 43 years with World WIZO – 18 of them as the Director of Ahuzat Yeladim Youth Village, Yossi is retiring.

In his honour, WIZO Australia named the newly renovated residential building for staff, after him.  No one deserves this honour more than him.

Yesterday, it was time to say goodbye as we realise that Yossi deserves a new chapter in his life.

We wish for you, Yossi, that the next chapter will be no less satisfying and meaningful than the legacy you leave at Ahuzat Yeladim.

WIZO Australia wishes you all the very best.  You will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting you.
