A Hamas-Approved Radio Host: “A Jewish Life Is Worth More”

The obsessive British broadcaster tried to incite anti-Semitism using “Jewish supremacy,” but forgot that whoever uses it to prolong the war – that’s Hamas itself!

“Jewish supremacy,” together with the quotation marks surrounding it, has always been an accepted blood libel, sister to “poisoning wells” and “matzah made from babies’ blood.” This week, a British radio broadcaster named James O’Brien from the popular London radio station LBC served it up juicily. In a three-hour broadcast dedicated to anti-Israeli propaganda under the guise of “concern for the Palestinian people,” O’Brien read a listener’s response, who wrote: “At the Jewish school where my wife studied, they taught that one Jewish life is worth the lives of thousands of Arabs” – to teach us that Jews tend to prefer themselves while trampling others. “This is a disgusting new low for O’Brien and the broadcasting station,” responded a spokesman for the Jewish leadership in Britain, and the Jewish community in the kingdom demanded to disqualify the broadcaster, given the demonization that fuels anti-Semitic fires.

Meanwhile, however, 3,500 km to the east, Arab-Israeli Knesset member Ayman Odeh revealed a heavy load of inferiority feelings when he declared demagogically: “I will not submit to Jewish supremacy.” But “Jewish supremacy” is not a concept taught in Jewish schools – we are actually the people who developed self-hatred. What is the source of that “supremacy” anyway? Is it the holy books and divine promises? Is it the fact that Israel is a corner of civilization within an ocean of violence and primitiveness? Or maybe it’s that breakthrough Jews led progress in the world and won Nobel prizes 100 times their proportion in the population?

Either way, the rage against a people proud of its achievements, and the demand that it walk hunched over to hide the dwarfism of the other, tries to present us as an arrogant and racist people. But this is nothing but a libel. Reality is stronger than that, and the exchange rate of Jewish life versus Arab life – is determined by market price:

In 2011, the deal to free the kidnapped soldier Gilad Shalit was accompanied by tough negotiations. At its end, the Israeli was returned, but not before Hamas demanded and also received in exchange 1,027 imprisoned terrorists, including hundreds of lifers and arch-terrorist named Yahya Sinwar. Thus was created the exchange rate between Jewish and Arab lives. Odeh didn’t rage, O’Brien didn’t protest, no one found inequality, the whole world naturally accepted the “deal” that was woven. Since then, the Hamas card has become a fact: on the negotiating table, Jewish lives equal many Arab lives.

While Israel’s extortion in negotiations is welcomed by our enemies, “Jewish supremacy” – they reject with contempt, without distinguishing that this is one thing and its opposite. But the real Jewish supremacy is not a price tag for every Jew, but the fact that Israel would have paid the same price even if it were a Druze, Circassian, Christian or Muslim soldier. Because it’s not that Jewish life is worth a thousand times more than Arab life. This is the Jewish value system, which places the value of life 1,027 times higher than theirs.

And back to London: O’Brien simplifies Gaza’s complex situation to “poor Gazans, evil Jews.” Therefore, his listeners didn’t hear that the war’s prolongation is due to Hamas’s insistence on a disproportionate price tag for every kidnapped Jew, alive or dead, held by them. Nor was there talk about the Gazan people – an accurate reflection of their leadership – who are themselves victims of their own choice of terror and hatred. No mention of Gaza entirely mobilized to kill Jews, and of Jews streaming massive amounts of food to them in return. And also not about Hamas government society, whose public business card is sending three of its sons to murder Israelis and die as martyrs, and the pride of having seven more sons to give. So, what did O’Brien choose to broadcast? Nonsense from an anonymous listener, who supposedly heard from his anonymous wife, who once upon a time, years ago, at one of the Jewish camps that may or may not have existed, someone, it’s unclear who, possibly said that a Jew is worth more than an Arab. Well done O’Brien, that’s how you do anti-Semitism!
